Air quality monitoring

Stationary Source / Point Source Emissions

AETS uses local and international methods/guidelines to measure the following:

  • Stack Emission Monitoring

    • Dioxins and Furans (USEPA Method 23)

    • Metals (USEPA Method 29)

    • PM (USEPA Methods 1 to 5)

    • Halides: HCl, HF, HBr, Cl₂, Br₂ (USEPA Method 26A)

    • O₂, CO, NO/NOx, NO₂, SO₂ and VOC sensors through an NDIR bench (CO₂, CxHy, high CO)

  • Pollution Control Equipment

    • Bag Filters

    • Scrubbers

    • Efficiency

Please refer to the link below for the USEPA methods and guidelines for the stationary source emission measurements/monitoring mentioned above.

Air Quality Monitoring

We provide a wide range of air quality monitoring services, including the following:

  • Air quality monitoring for pollutants using a Mobile Ambient Air Quality Monitoring Station (AAQMS)

  • Isokinetic sampling using an APEX Automatic Isokinetic Sampler

  • Odour measurements using an Olfactometer

  • Dust surveys

  • Long-term pollutant monitoring using diffusion tubes

  • Vehicle and generator set emissions monitoring

  • Noise measurements

  • Personal exposure monitoring for occupational health and safety

  • CEMS verification

  • Radiation surveys

  • Blasting vibration surveys

  • Consultancy on air pollution reduction measures

  • Stack metals analysis

  • Air pollution modelling

  • Light (LUX) and oxygen measurements

  • High-volume air sampler

    • PM2.5

    • PM10

We compare air quality against the United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS), or any other standard required by our clients.

Our flue gas analyser is specifically designed to measure point-source emissions, carry out adjustments, and perform long-term measurements and inspections of boilers, furnaces, stoves, and heating equipment.

The flue gas analyser is equipped with multiple probes to measure stack emissions in accordance with USEPA Method 2 and USEPA Method 4 for gases, and USEPA Method 5 for particulate matter.

In addition, Reference Methods 1 and 3 are used to obtain flow rate and molecular weight from oxygen and carbon dioxide measurements using a portable multi-gas analyser. During sampling, all sample containers are properly labelled and preserved until laboratory analysis is carried out. ALSAFA ETS performs the final analysis.
